New Call for Proposals 2025 for the purchase of technologically advanced aids or tools for people with disabilities or their families

In Lombardy, it is possible to get a refund on the purchase of certain devices thanks to Regional Law 23/99,

which provides grants for the purchase of technologically advanced aids or tools for people with disabilities or their families.

In the Region of Lombardy, a new call was activated on January 16, 2025, aimed primarily at people with disabilities or learning disabilities, for the purchase of technologically advanced aids or tools aimed at improving their quality of life.

The device must be useful for improvement:

1. The person's autonomy, especially with regard to daily activities, including those performed in one's own home;
2. Social and labor relations, facilitating integration into society;
3. Physical and functional limitations, which may involve motor, visual, hearing, intellectual, speech, or learning impairments.

Also included among the technologically advanced aids and tools reimbursed by the regional call is the Gondola medical device, an innovative treatment for gait disorders caused by neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, stroke and peripheral neuropathy.

Who and what is eligible for the call

All people with disabilities residing in the territory of the ATSs of the Lombardy Region, regardless of age, can participate in the call, provided they have a valid ISEE of € 30,000 or less.

In addition, the grant cannot be obtained if it has already been disbursed for the same aid or tool in the five years preceding the submission of the application and in the same area.
However, the notice provides some exceptions, specified in Annex 1 - D.d.u.o. 16369 of October 30, 2024 - Notice.
The aid or tool must have a minimum cost of €300.00 and not exceed €16,000.00. The grant awarded covers 70% of the eligible expenditure.

What to do to participate in the call

To participate, it is necessary to apply exclusively through Regione Lombardia's Bandi Online platform by accessing the call page by December 31, 2025.
