It was published in the journal Parkinson's Disease A clinical study, designed by Dr. Maria Francesca De Pandis, Head of the Parkinson Center San Raffaele Hospital in Cassino, carried out on 35 patients at different stages of Parkinson's progress (measured by the H&Y scale) and treated with therapy AMPS (Automated Mechanical Peripheral Stimulation) delivered by the device GONDOLA®.
Through this study, a high correlation between the patient's clinical status and the percentage of improvement in movement achieved after AMPS therapy; in particular, the more compromised the patient's clinical situation, the greater the improvement achieved.
Effective therapy to improve quality of life
This study also offers important insights into how AMPS can be an effective therapy to improve the quality of life and well-being of people with Parkinson's disease, particularly in those with a particularly compromised clinical picture.
